About

It’s funny…when I think back to my childhood, if someone had asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I never would have said a “foodie”. Likely the world’s pickiest eater, my favourite foods were spaghetti and French fries – but not at the same time, of course! They still are nostalgic indulgences but my tastes have expanded far beyond my wildest dreams. Never did I imagine that one day I’d be heading up a company that focuses solely on providing gastronomic experiences to travelers and locals who, plain and simple, love food.

I fell in love with food purely by accident when I accepted the position of PR Director for a luxury hotel chain in Toronto in 2002. On my first day, I was treated to the best dim sum in North America (according to the New York Times). From that fateful day forward, I began my journey down the gastronomic path, eating my way through many of Toronto’s (and the world’s) finest restaurants, taking wine appreciation courses and hob-knobbing with the city’s culinary elite.

It is from my experiences that I discovered my knack and passion for planning personalized culinary experiences for people looking wishing to explore Toronto in a unique way. It is with great pleasure that I introduce ChowBella Culinary Experiences + Concierge to travelers everywhere.

Bon appetit,
Trina Hendry

I love, love, love tea. I would choose tea over coffee any day, unless of course I was in Italy, where I’d have an espresso simply because it’s the thing to do. OK, back to tea…my mind wanders when I think if Italy! I love tea of all kinds – black tea, green tea, roiboos tea, loose-leaf tea, herbal tea, tea with milk or without. I drink it morning, noon and night.
